Can Ayurveda Cure My Cancer?

Ayurveda may have a role in supportive and integrative care, but established cancer treatments should not be replaced by unproven therapies.

Questions You're Afraid to Ask

The short answer

Ayurveda should not be presented as a guaranteed cure for cancer.

Ayurveda may have a role in supportive and integrative care, but established cancer treatments should not be replaced by unproven therapies.

Be cautious about claims such as:

"100% cure"

"No chemotherapy required"

"Cancer can be removed by detox"

"This herb kills every cancer"

"Doctors are hiding the cure"

What can Ayurveda reasonably contribute?

Depending on the individual, supportive care may include attention to:

Food and nutrition

Daily routine

Sleep

Relaxation

Gentle movement

Emotional wellbeing

Evidence varies for different complementary approaches, and many have not been adequately studied. 

Remember

Ayurveda and modern cancer care do not have to be enemies.

But neither should make claims beyond the available evidence.
