Why Am I Still Tired Even Though Treatment Has Finished?

Recovery can take time.

Questions You're Afraid to Ask

The short answer

Recovery can take time.

Cancer treatment can affect the body physically and emotionally, and some late effects may appear or persist after treatment. 

Recovery may involve:

Gradual exercise

Adequate nutrition

Good sleep

Emotional support

Managing pain

Treating anaemia or other medical problems when present

Do not compare yourself with someone else.

One person's recovery may take weeks.

Another person's may take months.

Remember

Treatment finishing and recovery finishing are not necessarily the same day.
