Contributor Guidelines
A one-page brief for invited authors writing for the Cancer Support India Editorial & Perspectives section.
Thank you for considering writing for Cancer Support India. This page brings together conventional oncology information, integrative Ayurvedic support, and community for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers across India. A few guidelines to help your piece fit well and move smoothly through review.
What We’re Looking For
- Survivor Stories — first-person accounts of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
- Caregiver Reflections — first-person or reported pieces on the caregiving experience
- Perspectives — thoughtful commentary or analysis on cancer care, support systems, or related systemic issues
- Clinical & Research Updates — short, plain-language explainers on treatment developments or research, written by clinicians or researchers
Length & Format
800–1500 words is a good general range — shorter is fine for a focused personal story, longer may be appropriate for a detailed clinical update. Please submit as a Word document or plain text, with your name and a one-line credential/bio to accompany the byline.
A Few Important Rules
- No claims that any treatment — conventional or Ayurvedic — cures cancer or guarantees an outcome. Personal experience can be shared honestly, but should not be generalised into a promise for others.
- If discussing Ayurvedic or complementary approaches, please frame them as supportive care alongside conventional oncology treatment, not as an alternative to it.
- Cite sources for any factual or statistical claims where possible.
- Personal stories are welcome to be as honest and specific as you’re comfortable with — including about difficult parts of the experience. Honesty is valued over a tidy or triumphant narrative.
- Please avoid sharing identifying details of other patients or family members without their consent.
What Happens After You Submit
Send your draft to drkembhavi@astangawellness.com. It will be reviewed for fit and tone, then goes through the site’s standard content review — the same process every article on the site goes through, including the founder’s own pieces — before publishing. Please allow some time for this; we’ll follow up if any changes are needed before it can go live.
Thank You
We’re glad to have your voice as part of this platform. If you have any questions before you start writing, reach out to drkembhavi@astangawellness.com.
